QUICK FACTS:

You do not need to have been a cadet or a member of any armed forces to join.

You need to be a minimum of 20 years of age to be an adult volunteer but there is no upper age limit as a civilian instructor, although uniformed officers retire at 55.

While you will not be paid you will be provided with all the necessary equipment for your roles, including special clothing and uniform. The real benefit comes from the opportunity to experience many activities and training for free.

All staff within the ACO, whether uniformed or not, are subject to in depth Police and Security checks prior to joining a Squadron or taking part in Corps activities.
