96 (Dewsbury) Squadron was formed in 1938 and has been the foremost youth organisation in the Dewsbury area. In the 70 year history of the Squadron it has always promoted the Air Training Corps ethos of aviation related subjects, citizenship skills, leadership skills and skills for life. Many of the Squadrons past cadets have gone on to have successful careers in the armed forces and in civilian life.
96 Squadron has and continues to promote the Air Training Corps aims and ethos whilst at the same time promotes squadron values these are:

Professionalism
Teamwork
Service to others
Respect for others
Selfless Commitment
Courage
The opportunities that can be gained from being a member of this Squadron and the Air Training corps can be seen on the activities page but the personal benefits that can be gained from being a member are incredible and can be found in no other youth organisation.
